Zune 1.4 firmware is coming out today.  It'll make shuffle better.  I didn't know shuffle was bad, shows how much attention I pay when listening to music.

I'm going to Peru next week to hike the Inca Trail amongst other things so don't expect any updates until July.

Gizmodo has some photos up of a special edition Halo 3 themed Zune.

I saw one this morning - it's a classic black zune with some Halo 3 themed elements printed on it.  Loaded on the device is some Halo 3 content.

I'll see if I can dig up some photos of the box, it's pretty sweet.

I'm wondering what a Viva Pinata Zune would look like...

The new Spring Update for the Xbox 360 is out.

While playing around with my system this morning I found a new feature I hadn't seen reported before.  You can now boot your Xbox 360 directly into Media Center.  From the dashboard, go to System, Console Settings, Startup and there along with Disc and Xbox Dashboard is the new option, Media Center.  Select that and the Xbox 360 will boot directly in to the Media Center extender experience when you turn it on.  Great if you use your Xbox 360 mostly as a Media Center Extender.

Check out the new Zune TV ad.

(Oh how I wish I could get Community Server to let me embed the flash played directly in my post instead of having to link to it).

Video of an exercise to get people out of an Airbus A380

Of course it's not a true representation of how quickly people can get off the plane in an emergency.  People will react differently in an emergency and you're unlikely to have a plane full of Airbus employees who are trying to show how quickly you can get off the plane.  In a real emergency people will reactly differently, will be more confused and will panic.  There also won't be a bunch of people on the ground ready to help people off the slides as the disembark, but even so it's an interesting demo.
